We are thrilled to support Black single mothers during the holiday season through our Moms and Scholars Holiday Scholarship. This initiative is designed to uplift and empower mothers pursuing higher education by offering financial assistance of up to $1,500. We are committed to helping them achieve their educational and personal goals, and we are excited to present the scholarship at our Black Santa Christmas Event. It’s our way of giving back to the community and celebrating these incredible women.

 

4TheGirls Social Moms and Scholars Holiday Scholarship Application Details & Eligibility:

We are offering up to $1,500 to support a Black single mother in the DFW area pursuing higher education (colleges, universities, or trade schools).

Eligible Candidates Are:

• Black Women who live in or attend school in the DFW Metropolis

• Have attended at least 2 4TheGirls Social Events in 2025 or be interviewed upon submitting an application

• Single Parents of at least one human child (pet parents are not admissible)

• Must be accepted, enrolled, or currently attending a college, university, or trade school

• Must submit documentation that reflects a GPA of at least 2.0

• Active members of 4TheGirls Social and first-time graduates are strongly considered

Eligible candidates must submit proof of academia through one of the following mediums:

• Acceptance letter

• Class Schedule

• Valid school ID (with year)

​

To be considered, all applicants must short essay on why they should receive the scholarship. 

​

Other considerations for applicants are:

They must be available the day before and the day of the Black Santa Christmas event for an on-stage award presentation at the Second Black Santa Christmas Event by 4TheGirls Social. The scholarship program requires recipients to participate in all recipient activities or the recipient forfeits their award.
